God’s Knocking on the Door of Your Heart

Everything in creation seems to be a temptation that diverts our attention from God. But, once God is found & experienced He becomes the greatest temptation of all. For, when you’ve found Him and discovered His Divine Love nothing in the world will satisfy you any longer. It will become all that you’ll ever seek.

However, to find God & feel that love requires sincerity, determination, and deep devotion. God will not come to you if during your morning prayers your mind is deciding what to eat for breakfast; or if during your meditations your mind is thinking about other things. Your desire to know God must be firm. And when you spend time with Him, it is not truly sincere, unless you give Him your full & undivided attention.

The truth is that God’s longing to come to you, but you haven’t openly invited Him. He’s been knocking God wants to know us, Knowing God, How to know God at the door of your heart, bearing the gift of His love, but you haven’t welcomed Him in. In fact, instead of utilizing any free time to get to know God or be with Him, we prefer to spend our time socializing & gossiping with our friends; or seeking out some pleasure in external things. Yet, how ironic, that when trouble comes along we are so quick to call upon Him; and expect that He beckon to the call.

Out of the 7 Billion people in the world there are only a very few who are deeply & sincerely seeking God. The majority of us are content designating just an hour each weekend to Him. Therefore, how can we ever expect to really know God intimately.

The Bhagavad-Gita says:

“One man among thousands strives to live a godly life; and of the few who do, only a rare one comes to truly know God.” (Chapter 7:9-12).

Why? Because our will and sincerity aren’t strong enough. And also, we are still too attached to the creation, rather than the Creator; who has given us this world to enjoy.

Therefore, if we truly desire to live with God in paradise after our death we can’t waste the little time we do have on earth in unprofitable activities. We must use the time given to – SEEK GOD NOW! .

Tell God that you desire nothing but Him; but only if you truly mean it. Then do not stop calling this out to God from the depths of your heart until He makes Himself known to you. And once you find Him, anchor yourself to Him and never let go. Remember that God’s very promise to us is that by continuous love & deep devotion we will find Him. (Jeremiah 29:13, Proverb 8:7, Bhagavad-Gita Chapter 12)

God bless you on your journey & may you always remember to – Heed the Spirit,

Anthony
